Studio B

Studio B This 32-Channel Allen and Heath based studio benefits from extensive use of API, Neve, Benchmark, Demeter, Chandler, Avedis, Great River, Focusrite, or Bellari outboard mic preamps. Equipped with a Pro Tools 24-MIX 3 - 64 track nonlinear recording and editing, and a Sony JH-24 analog recorder with Dolby SR, this studio can go either way on a budget. Our newly renovated control room features main monitors by Altec and near fields by Genelec, Yamaha and Auratone. Studio B was originally named the Gold Star Room because of the large gold star in the middle of the main studio floor. Over the years many music legends have stood directly over the gold star: Archie Bell and The Drells, Doug Sahm, B.J. Thomas, Lightnin' Hopkins, The Bubble Puppy, The Rolling Stones, Lyle Lovett, Clay Walker...

Analog mixing to 1/4" tape with Dolby SR. noise reduction ia also available. Although slightly smaller than Studio A, Studio B's main floor also has three isolation booths. The same three drum kits are offered, and access to a number of in house synthesizers. Studio B is an excellent tracking and overdub room. With our lock to picture capability Studio B is also well suited for film and video scoring.
