| Rodney Meyers As Vice President of SugarHill and owner of Essential Sound, Rodney Meyers plays an integral part in planning and shaping the studio's future, but he truly excels in his role as our in-house designer. His most visible contributions are the amazing control rooms he designed and built in Studio A and Studio B. Although Rodney has designed studios both in the US and abroad, we know he saved his best for us! Located in the SugarHill complex is Essential Sound, which has provided audio editing, mastering and CD duplication services to clients throughout the United States since 1995. The core of the mastering suite is the latest 24 bit, 192 KHz Sadie Series 5 PCM8. Complementing the Sadie is an array of digital plug-ins and analog outboard gear. Essential Sound has established a reputation for quality and excellence by working with clients to ensure their project achieves the highest audio fidelity. Working closely with Rodney is Allen Corneau, principle mastering engineer for Essential Sound. Allen has over 23 years of experience in the music industry. He began at the age of 9 as a member of the professional touring boy-choir, The Singing Boys of Houston; then as a vocal student at Houston's prestigious High School for the Performing & Visual Arts. He then continued in the Audio Engineering program at San Jacinto College, as well as starting his own location recording business. In 1999 Allen joined the staff at Essential Sound and became the principal mastering engineer in 2003. Allen is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, as well as an active supporter of the Houston music industry. His audio experience includes location recording of orchestral and chorale works, and audio for video field recording. In addition to engineering, Allen loves the outdoors. He volunteers his time and talents in this field to the Boy Scouts of America and through private instruction, training in rock climbing and rappelling. Christina Hui joined the Essential Sound Mastering staff in April 2006 when she came on board as their Studio Manager. Currently a student at Cy-Fair Community College, Christina will be transferring to the University of Houston-Main Campus in the spring of 2008 to major in Business Management. 713-785-6479 |
