SugarHill Goes Unsigned

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) - March 21st, 2005 - SugarHill Recording Studios remains steadfast in its efforts to support the local music scene, by sponsoring a unique unscripted TV series called Unsigned.

Sponsored by Budweiser, 94.5FM's The Buzz and SugarHill Recording Studios, the show's concept is to search for Texas' hottest unsigned bands, where selected bands from Dallas, Austin and Houston will compete in front of an impressive panel of judges.

The judges include Howie Abrams (Senior Director and A&R of Zomba Publishing / Jive Records) and Don Jantzen (Music Director/DJ of 94.5FM The Buzz) and the show will be hosted by local KTBZ disc jockey A.D. and Texans Cheerleader/KPRC-TV personality Carrie Milbank.

The winning band will receive a lucrative two song recording deal at SugarHill's legendary studios and a once in a lifetime chance to perform at Buzzfest, on Saturday April 23rd.

Produced by Phenix Entertainment, and Jaret Reddick of Grammy nominated band, Bowling For Soup; the show's creators are adamant about setting the show apart from the rest of the reality TV clutter.

"Unsigned does not take an overly dramatic, over-hyped approach, like some shows" said Unsigned producer Pete Omlin. "The judges will give bands honest feedback and provide the viewer a taste of what the industry is like."

Unsigned is scheduled to air on KNWS Channel 51 on Saturday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m
