SugarHill Artists, Seen and Heard
(HOUSTON, TEXAS) --October 19, 2004--October is proving to be a month of CD release parties for recording artists at SugarHill Recording Studios .
John Evans Band's long awaited new album Circling the Drain, engineered and mixed by SugarHill's Senior Staff Engineer Steve Christensen, will be released on Saturday, October 23 at the Firehouse.
On the same day, Houston's favorite funk jazz group Drop Trio is releasing their experimental new album Leap at Last Concert Café preceded by an in-store performance at Cactus Music & Video at noon. The new album was engineered and mixed by SugarHill Staff Engineer John Griffin .
Indie rockers, the Southern Backtones plan their new album release the following Saturday, October 30 at the Continental Club. The new album was produced by Dan Workman (President of SugarHill Studios and Dan Workman Music) and engineered and mixed by Christensen.
Opening acts for the Southern Backtones include performances by Drop Trio and solo artist Tody Castillo . Castillo also recently completed recording and mixing his new album at SugarHill with Christensen, and plans a CD release soon.
