SugarHill Anticipates Long-Awaited Beatles Recording Book

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) - May 4 th , 2006 - SugarHill Recording Studios' long time collaborator/producer and arranger Kevin Ryan and writing partner Brian Kehew have been in the process of writing what is considered the most comprehensive book about how The Beatles' albums were recorded, titled Recording The Beatles.

Ryan and Kehew, are due to release their 528-paged book in August 2006. The book is a an accumulation of years of research and interviews to unveil the most detailed look at every piece of studio gear used, as well as full explanations of effects and recording processes used in The Beatles' sessions.

The book has already received plenty of praise from Beatles' engineers and technicians including Ken Scott, Ken Townsend, Alan Parsons and Richard Lush.

Ryan and Kehew are acclaimed producers, arrangers and musicians and are no strangers to the music industry. Ryan has produced and arranged for Southern Backtones, Winter Wallace, Hurts to Purr and Sarah Sharp .  

Brian Kehew's repertoire includes co-producing Fiona Apple's album Extraordinary Machine. Kehew has also performed with the French electronic-based band Air, Hole, Dave Davies, and often works as stage technician on tours with The Who; he is also known as being the second half of vintage synth-crazed band Moog Cookbook.
