Gina Miller is the business, promotions and marketing director of SugarHill Recording Studios. She honed her skills in the non-profit sector then cut her chops in the radio world before joining the SugarHill family in 2006. Besides managing daily affairs, her main calling is to ‘spread the SugarHill gospel’ - making sure the studios get the notoriety they deserve, preserving the rich legacy of days of yore and leading the studios in cutting edge directions. Gina is the series producer and creative visionary behind Live From SugarHill and taken over duties for The SugarHill Sessions. Using her music expertise as a freelance journalist, she sometimes writes for the Rocks Off blog of the Houston Press.

Gina MillerIn addition to her role at the studios, she works as an advocate of Houston’s music and arts communities. She was elected to the board of governors for The Recording Academy® Texas Chapter and serves as the local Membership chair and on the Education and Outreach committees lobbying on behalf of working musicians to pass Performance Rights Act legislation. She serves on the board of directors for Aurora Picture Show, Girls Rock Camp Houston and on the marketing committee of Spacetaker. Most importantly, she has a "No engineer goes hungry" philosophy and when not at work or honing her culinary skills for the staff, she’s a full-time mama and singer/keyboardist of the new-wave/punk/rock outfit, The Kimonos.
